Nice!!! The painting I made for “Art for Japan” fundraiser was sold!!!
I am glad my artwork was part of the auction and I am happy that someone actually bought it.
Don’t know who it is, the gallery asked me to mail it to them and they would hand it to the client, but I thank you for your contribution.
My version of  the best Hispanic superhero, el Chapulin Colorado!!! – acrylic on canvas 8″ x 8″
Finished another 8×8 painting last month but instead of keeping it in my room with the other canvases, I decided to do something good with it.
I am donating this painting to “Art for Japan,” an event organized by Nucleus Gallery to help raise money for Japan’s earthquake and tsunami relief efforts. The fundraiser event will take place on April 23rd but there will be an online auction on April 20th for all the artwork donated to the gallery.
Since the event will take place in California, I have a feeling a lot of the animation artists will be participating so check out the exhibit and online auction for their work. They will also have artists designed buttons that you can purchase for $10.
“ART FOR JAPAN” is an emergency campaign project in support of Give2Asia and Artistshelpjapan their efforts in delivering aid to survivors of Japan’s earthquake & tsunami, and to support short and long-term recovery of the affected communities.

I finished it last night!! Didn’t have to work yesterday due to the snow storm so I had time to work on this. I also took some pictures of the painting in progress from the early sketch to finish paint. I used acrylics on 12″ x 16″ masonite panel.

It’s 2011!!! Happy New Year!!!
I need to post something for the new year so here is a pic of some stuff I have been working on. Actually I’ve been working on them for a while but now that I started a new job I kinda stopped. I should keep a due date in my head so that I push myself to  finish them or they’ll end up collecting dust in my room.
Oops!! I’m running out of paper. I doodled all over my sketchbook for the past year and finally it’s time to get a new one. Maybe I should buy one made out of recycled paper so I don’t feel guilty killing trees just to draw on them.
Here is a sketch I made before leaving NY to visit my dad.

Another small painting, this time it turn out looking like a zombie.

Just finished this over the weekend. I’m not sure when I drew the sketch (either before or during the world cup) but I worked on it for the past two weeks just painting an hour every other night or whenever I felt like it. I enjoy soccer so hopefully this could be the start for more soccer related drawings. I used acrylics on a 12 x 12 canvas.
